Age of Deception

The very first answer Christ gave his disciples when they asked when would the coming of the end of the age would be, and he said, “Take heed that no man deceives you.” (Matt. 24:4) In this time that’s what this age brings us, a lot of appealing information.

In this age of Aquarius, some astrologers say it isn’t here yet, but I feel the energy before anything and it is definitely here. You can see all the signs through technology, mass information and AI innovations. The characteristics of Aquarius are these new age technologies.

In Luke chapter 22 of the Holy Bible, Jesus told his disciples that he needed them to follow a man with a pitcher of water once they entered the city and go to the house he enters. (Luke 22:10) Once there the disciples prepared the upper room for the Passover feast with Jesus. He wanted them to be fed and nourished with the right messages before his death. He wanted to prepare the disciples so they’d be ready before he left. This is the Lord’s supper as he blessed, gave thanks and broke bread with his brethren. (Luke 22:10-20)

He also gave his disciples the clue of who would betray him. These are the times where many have misled the people through religions, spirituality, education, banking, medicine, politics, media, unlawfully falsified documentation and betrayals of many. This world is the ground for these kind of deceptive things but this is where we have to use our discernment. This Information Age is filled with misinformation that it causes so many to believe in the lies.

When truth is spoken to others who have been bombarded with lies of all kinds, they get angry when God wants them to be unshackled by the truth. They suffer from the cognitive dissonance and refuse help from the divine. Thank God for the mercy and grace to have the chance to try and break free of lies again. We come to get the understanding eventually as everyone is on their own journey to freedom.

There are many instances in scripture where there was deception. I’ve experienced it too many times to count, and even though we can mean well with our myths and fables to give our children a healthy imagination, it can also hurt them once the truth is revealed to them. We can even deceive ourselves especially when meeting potential partners. At this time we can’t live in bliss anymore or stay naive to the world around us up close and personal. We once were lost, but now we’re found, was blind, but now we can see.
